I love love this outfit. During the winter you just can’t beat an oversized sweater with comfy tights. It’s my go-to look during this time of year. I’m going to break down each item I’m wearing with my sizes in the next few paragraphs.
Let’s start with the burgundy sweater. It’s a Target find! It was originally $30 BUT it’s marked down to $20 now. I have seen it in store and online but it’s on clearance now so grab it before it’s gone. It is a little bit of an oversized fit. I am 5’5 wearing an xs and it’s long enough to cover my bum. It’s not thick but I do like the turtleneck and it’s light enough to easily wear under a jacket. It is also available in 7 colors if you like the style but not this particular color. Overall I think it’s great to wear with jeans or leggings!
How cuteeee is this shaggy trimmed denim jacket?? I have been wanting one and I finally found one that I loved. And guess what… it’s from Forever 21 for around $30!!! It also has a little big of a baggy/oversized fit to it which is what I was looking for. For reference, I am wearing a small. Just a side note though, the entire jacket is not lined with the shaggy knit. I prefer it that way because, hello Mississippi light winters, but in case you were thinking it’s fully lined that’s not the case.
Now let’s talk Spanx. I have had my faux leather pair for over a year now. I can say that I have washed these countless times (I wear them A LOT) and they still look/feel the same as when I bought them. They are extremely comfortable… like right now laying on the couch writing this! I have dressed them up with sweaters and boots, and have dressed them down with sneakers and casual sweatshirts. Also, they are very high waisted and have a great hold, which I think adds to the comfort. Right now Spanx is running a sale on the pair I have on plus some of their other styles.
Fun fact about Spanx as a brand. Did you know it made the founder, Sara Blakely, the youngest self-made female billionaire? Pretty cool, right? Another side note is that she’s fun to follow on Instagram @sarablakely.
