This week a group of fellow Mississippi bloggers got together at Red Square in Ridgeland. I didn’t know anybody walking in the door but I left feeling so happy about all the new friendships I can’t wait to form. These ladies showed their southern hospitality and it was so awesome spending the evening with like minded women.
The event was hosted by Brandi’ Starbuck (A Brand New Day) and Red Square. Red Square is a women’s AND men’s clothing store with two locations in the Jackson area. Their ladies that were with us on Thursday night were amazing and they pride themselves on their one on one service.
I want to brag on Musee Bath and Galexie Glister – TWO Mississippi made products. Musee Bath became known for their handmade bath bombs and are now nationally known for all of their natural ingredient products. Musee has an incredible start up story. It began as a way to provide employment, and it continues to do that right here in Canton, MS. I will be trying out the “Amazing Grace” bath bomb this weekend. Oh and each bath bomb is named after a song, how cool!
Galexie Glister is another local company that hand makes glitter products for your body and hair. The product took off quickly and you can now find it nationwide as well. If you’ve seen anybody on Instagram at festival with glitter in their hair or on their body, then it was probably Galexie Glister! The best about the product is that it’s not your regular glitter that makes a mess. Their formula of a light gel mixed with glitter means the product only goes where you want it to! We received their newest seasonal glister “Sweater Weather” that will be releasing this fall. It the prettiest gold tone for fall and even has tiny shimmering leaves in it. It’s so awesome seeing these Mississippi businesses succeed!
The night was a hit and I can’t wait for all of us to get together again.
