This is my favorite little wall in the house. It’s definitely been a work in progress! This wall was completely empty for 6 months before I started slowly adding pieces together. I wanted something fun and colorful – hence the stripes and tropical prints. I LOVE to mix patterns and add in pops of color. (See turquoise dresser tutorial I did here)
•Sideboard:
I started with the black narrow sideboard. I have a small eating area so I needed something very narrow, BUT I also needed it for storage since I don’t have a ton of storage space in my kitchen. I searched online forever looking for the perfect one, and I finally found this one at At Home. They had a ton to choose from that were reasonably priced under $300. My dilemma was needing something no deeper than about 12in. and I had a couple to choose from at At Home. They don’t have a ton on their website but my exact one is HERE for $250!
•Tropical Leaf Prints:
After I bought the sideboard I needed to find something to go above it. I found these tropical leaf canvas prints at Hobby Lobby and I immediately snatched them up. I originally just wanted one big print, but I couldn’t find the right one so I just went with these 4 prints. They definitely grab your attention! I’ve included some other tropical prints below and a few cute farmhouse signs that would work above a distressed sideboard like this. Some of them are smaller so it would be cute to make a gallery wall out of several of them.
•Lamp:
Who else loves lamps?! I pride myself on all the lamps I’ve ever bought because I find good deal! A few of my favorite stores for lamps are Hobby Lobby, TJ Maxx, Home Goods, and At Home. So I actually spotted the gold lamp base at At Home but it didn’t have a shade. I went ahead and purchased the base and decided to find a shade later. I think I got the base for 20 bucks?
•Lamp Shade:
One the tropical prints were hung, I needed a pop to break up all the green. I either wanted a pattern or hot pink shade. I finally found a hot pink one at At Home. Warning, it’s hard to find a specific color and shape!! At Home has rows and rows of lampshades and also has a lot on their website. On Etsy I found a super cute black and white spotted shade and a hot pink velvet shade. They are more expensive, but you are able to customize your dimensions!
•Tabletop Decor:
Tea cup planter – You won’t believe where I found this cutie. Wal-Mart! I don’t see the exact one on the website now, but here’s a peacock feather planter.
Gold candle holders – I think I let out a little squeal in the store when I saw these. My exact candle holders are from Target and under $20!
Black and white striped candlesticks – I bought this exact 2 pack of candlesticks, but if you need more than that then here’s a set of 6 from Amazon.
Gold and white pumpkins – These little pumpkins came in a pack from Hobby Lobby. Here are some other packs of smaller pumpkins. And if you REALLY love gold then here’s a pack of gold glitter pumpkins for under $10.
