This post is long overdue. A few months ago I did a blog post on the overall dress i’m wearing in these pics (here’s the post) and I had the hair scarf in a few photos so I said I would write about different ways to style it since they’re so popular right now!
Let’s start with #1: Tie it on your purse. If you’re a neutral purse gal like me (get more bang for my buck), then adding a colorful scarf is a great way to add color for the day or occassion! In this case, I thought it was adorable with the black and white striped top I had on, and added a little bit of a POP. As we move into fall, just change out the summery colors for more golden tones. I scored mine from Forever 21 and I’m linking several inexpensive options below that will take you from summer to fall!
Next up #2: Hair half up with scarf. *these pictures were taken before I cut about 6in of my hair off, so I’m missing my long hair right now. I am soooo not good with styling my hair different ways. I’m very basic and pretty much wear my hair down and curled all the time. This is super easy though and nothing fancy. I just simply pulled my hair back with a pony tail holder and then tied one knot around the pony tail holder with the scarf!
#3: Scarf around your neck. This is so not realistic for us folks in the South during the summer (I felt like I was suffocating after 5 minutes outside) BUT, it is cute to carry into fall and winter. This look gives me old timey flight attendant vibes and I love it.
#4: Pony tail scarf. Once again, this look is super easy to achieve. If you want to dress up your boring pony, all I did was tie the scarf in one knot around my pony tail!
You can find these for so cheap so I’m adding more below that includes some great colors for fall! Y’all, they also make a “scarf pony” so it’s built in pony tail within the scarf – I’m including a couple of those as well!
