It’s only May and I swear it was 110 degrees taking these pictures. We shot these in the cute Fondren area in Jackson, MS. I like versatile pieces in my closet that will work for more than one occasion. I decided to show how I styled the same scalloped cami and shorts two different ways for a dressy and casual look.
My scalloped cami is so cute and it’s one of those tops that can be worn by itself, under a jacket, tucked in, or left out. FYI they come in a variety of colors as well. Several different retailers carry them and they range from $7-$30. I am all for a deal, but I will tell you, the ones on the $30 end have nicer quality straps. So if you know you’re going to be wearing it uncovered all summer long then I would chose the more expensive ones, and if you want more colors for wearing under jackets you could go with the cheaper option.
Summer is the time to wear all the fun shorts! The brand of these exact shorts is Do + Be that I found at a local boutique and of course I can’t find the exact pair online anywhere. I linked several similar options. These are a great material and you can’t see through them so they can be dressed up with heels.
For a more casual look I changed shoes and threw on a fedora. I RAVED about these flip flops on my instastories. They are a Valentino dupe for just $20!! I have been wearing them like crazy with cute outfits and with my leggings. They don’t look like it, but they are actually all rubber so they are great for the pool or beach. They also come in tan so I’m pretty sure I will be ordering those. Here’s the link to the studded flip flops.
