The daily struggle… sleep a little extra or work out! Maybe the shirt should say SLEEP queen because I actually don’t get to take naps anymore! In college I would squeeze in a little power nap every chance I got. Studies do show a nap can make you more productive… it wish this was accepted in the workplace! Lol.
So I ordered this top and I thought it was going to be a regular cotton t-shirt material, but it’s actually a cotton/spandex material. I don’t work out in t-shirts because they are hotter but this tee feels more like the material of a work out top. I am wearing a medium so I would definitely recommend sizing up.
There are tons of work out leggings out there, but I am picky about the material. I like a good quality legging that I know you can’t see through when I bend over in the gym! Yes leggings can be expensive but I have Nike leggings that I have worn for 4 years now and they are still in great condition. I also really like the mesh trend so I decided to randomly try these on in Dick’s. They are the Calia brand, which is Carrie Underwood’s line. They are the Women’s Essential Spliced Capris. Overall I love them! They fit really well and seem like great quality. I will say, if you get really hot easily or you’re going to be working out in the heat, I wouldn’t recommend wearing these that day. I think the leather-ish material that runs down the side could be a little too warm. These are also sporty/cute enough to wear around town when you’re not working out.
**Leggings update 1/28/2020. I haven’t quite had these leggings for two years yet but wanted to give an update on the quality. They started pilling probably about a year ago. It’s not bad enough to stop wearing them or anything, but I do want to inform my readers about products. I just know my Nike leggings that were the same price that I’ve had for twice as long haven’t done that. Do I still like and wear the Calia leggings? Yes. Will I purchase another pair from that brand? Maybe. I hear the Lululemon leggings pill as well, but I just don’t like paying $50-$100 for something and then it pill… so just sharing my experience!
Sunglasses are Diffey’s Dash Aviator. Super light weight and are even polarized!
I have had these Nike tennis shoes for probably 3 years now and I still love them. They are lightweight and they just kind of hug your feet. The upper part of them isn’t like a regular tennis shoe and that makes them more comfy. I added Dr. Scholl’s inserts in mine and oh em gee…. if you work on your feet I highly recommend them. I didn’t think it would make that much of a difference but it did. It’s the best $10 you will ever spend.
ps.. try laying your work out clothes out the night before so it makes things as easy as possible the next morning!
